The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:1-3

Prison and Street Ministries are vital to our community. We minister to the ‘castaway’ and the ‘forgotten part’ of our society.

Mark 16:15 – The Lord instructs each of us to ‘GO’ into the world and proclaim the gospel. This is the mandate that has been placed on every believer in order to be active in your calling and fulfill the will of God for your life.

Prison Ministry

Weekly, a team from Victory goes to the Hamilton Detention Centre to pour out the love of God to inmates. The result is continual salvations and changed lives – not only for the inmates but for their families as well. Prison Ministry is a once-a-month commitment to share the gospel with those who we’ve been called to bring the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Street Ministry

The Street Ministry has teamed up with the Salvation Army Food Truck to go into the heart of our city to feed and clothe the less fortunate.

Victory International Church has given out:

• over 500 coats, hats, mitts, gloves, and scarves
• over 100 personal care packages
• 150 gift cards
• countless Bibles, tracks, practical guides to life with Jesus

For two hours, once a month, a group from Victory assembles for this incredible outreach. A smile or a compassionate ear to hear a lonely voice is many times all that you need! Those with musical abilities are very welcome to participate as well. It’s a great time of JOY, SONG and FELLOWSHIP!
